i will not eat green eggs and ham.

i will not use capital letters on this blog. i'm also debating doing away with apostrophes, which seem unnecessary. okay, theyre gone. see how i did that? also, just one space after periods, but thats not to save time, im just used to it from writing for figure. commas have to stay. they help keep the rhythm, and since writing is prolly the only area in which i possess any rhythm at all, you can damn well bet im going to be keeping it!

the blog is named after the allman bros. song 'blue sky' (btw, no double quotation marks, they're also extraneous.) and the jawbreaker song 'basilica.' blue sky is my favorite song of all time, period. basilica is an awesome song, period. and i like the idea of a blog utilizing the connotation of a an ancient roman basilica: all the symbolism and feeling therein.

today im just gonna say something briefly about movie theater food. everyone always gets to the concession counter, orders a medium or large snack, and then gasps 'i didnt know how big a medium coke was!' or 'can you believe the size of this popcorn? its bigger than my bathtub!' the thing is, they say it like theyre surprised. like this hasnt been an issue for our whole lives, the sizes of these things. i mean, i do it too. i did it yesterday at the union sq. theater with diego (there to see harry potter and the goblet of fire, which was pretty good). i pretended to be incredulous about our popcorn, and i go to that theater like every few weeks. it's like going to mcdonalds and commenting on how the food doesnt look like it does in the pictures.

anyone who comments on the size of movie theater food or how fast food doesnt really look like it does in the photos is a shmuck. myself included.

one thing about hp: ralph fiennes should have been allowed to tell harry potter 'its a plum plum' at least once. wouldve slayed me.

oh and tomorrow i like the broncos.
